Pink may be the new green! 

You just can’t beet this awesome pink smoothie!!  The addition of the beets, the turmeric, the carrots and the pomegranate juice give this green smoothie an incredible nutritional advantage and intense shade of pink!!  Food is medicine! 

 

Beet Smoothie
This drink is so good, so nutritious and so full of great flavor. You will love it!

Ingredients
  1. 3 small beets
  2. 1 good sized carrot
  3. 1 over ripe banana
  4. 1/2 avocado
  5. 1 fresh peeled lemon
  6. 1 inch turmeric root
  7. 1 inch ginger root
  8. 1 cup pomegranate juice
  9. 1 cup coconut water
  10. 1 tablespoon Stevia if needed
  11. filtered water and ice as desired
Instructions
  1. Peel and chop all food items
  2. Add all ingredients to a high power blender
  3. Add ice and water as needed
  4. Blend until smooth
Notes
  1. You can use raw beets and carrots or cook them slightly until tender. Cooking can actual help the bioavailability of the beta carotene, the antioxidant that is converted into vitamin A.
